The Township of Oro-Medonte has prepared a draft Municipal Licensing By-law for Short Term Rental Accommodations (STRAs) and Bed and Breakfast Establishments (B&Bs). The intent of the By-law is to establish rules and regulations for the safe operation of legal STRAs and B&B Establishments, and penalties for non-compliance.

The Township has fully transitioned to digital parking permits for all Oro-Medonte residents & non-residents, available through HonkMobile.

Please note: Current resident parking stickers will expire on March 31st. Oro-Medonte residents can obtain two (2) free digital parking permits, please visit oro-medonte.ca/parking for more information.

The requested municipal boundary expansion would include lands east of Penetanguishene Road, south of Gore Road, west of Line 1 South and north of the Shanty Bay rural settlement area. The area comprises approximately 772 hectares (1,907.65 acres) of land and consists of active farmland and environmentally sensitive features.

Please note: delivery of e-bills will be provided to residents in early spring of 2025. The first tax and utility bill for 2025 will be mailed to the address on file with the Township.
